Imagine you’re in a World War One u-boat, attempting to get a bearing on this ship. It must have been a nightmare. The British Navy couldn’t stop u-boats from spotting their ships, so they decided to confuse the hell out of them with garish colours and confusing lines, all designed to obscure the heading and speed of the allied ships.
